The Path to Knowledge . . . .

Life is a series of mysteries we must each unravel at our own pace. Our task is not to solve the mysteries, but to use them along our way. No one can tell us what is good for us just because it worked for them. If we allow someone to give us our answers, we create conflict deep within. Sometimes it gets confusing trying to figure out what to do. If the confusion is on the inside, the answer is there, too! No human being has all the answers . . . . if they did, they would not be here. One of the greatest mysteries we must unravel is our purpose, because that is what makes us clear. Let us take more time to listen to our hearts, filtering through the offerings that come in. Let us not be so willing to say "I know" when we have no idea where to begin. Let us know deep down that God loves us and let us use that knowledge along the way. Let us approach the great mystery of the meaning of life with a little bit less to say.

The Spirit World and Spirit Guides

The spirit world is another dimension that exists alongside out material reality and is populated with nonphysical beings, or spirits.  It is not some place up in the sky or removed from us, but is present and accessible at all times, requiring only the willingness, intention, and openness to make contact with those beings that reside there.  Our awareness and consciousness are the vehicles that allow us to accomplish this.

In this alternate nonphysical reality called the spirit world, you will find ancestors, Archangels, Ascended Spiritual Masters, religious figures, deceased loved ones, Faeries, and, of course, Spirit Animals.  These beings are extensions of God, Great Spirit, Source, or whatever name you prefer for All-That-Is, just as those of us and everything else in the material world are.  What we call matter is denser and more tangible to our usual senses, whereas accessing this other dimension requires greater receptivity, heightened awareness, and a consciousness that allows for the existence of this aspect of being.

The term spirit guide is a term for any of these spiritual beings that help us in a life-positive way.  We can call on them for guidance, protection, encouragement, and inspiration.  Some have been with us since childhood, while others have appeared at various periods in our life, perhaps to help us through a difficult transition.  We may see them, hear them, feel them, or just know they are with us, and we can have any number of spirit guides throughout our life, whether we are aware of them or not.  They want to help us have a more peaceful, harmonious, and happier life, yet will not interfere with our free will.  They are happy to serve and willingly do so whenever called upon.


Animals as Spirit Guides

Those spirits that are in animal form that teach us, guide us, empower us, and help us heal are called animal spirit guides or spirit animals.  In shamanic and indigenous cultures, they are usually called totem animals or power animals.  Often these terms are used interchangeably, although there are subtle differences in meaning.

The term totem animal is a representational object of a particular animal, such a wolf, tortoise, raccoon, hawk, bear, etc.  Ther term power animal has its origins in shamanism, which is a specialized animal spirit guide that shamans or shamanic practitioners acquire early in their initiation into their practice.  We can all have a relationship with our animal spirit guide, or power animal, even if we are not all that connected spiritually, and even if we are not shamans or shamanic practitioner.  They may come to us in meditations, visions, dreams, or shamanic journeys.

Connecting with Your Higher Self

The world needs more spiritual healers, teachers, and leaders. As we unravel the old way of living, healers can help calm the physical symptoms of anxiety and insecurity.

The old energy is almost over, thank goodness! In the old energy, people struggled and suffered to make money. Suffering to make money was never a necessary way of living, but it was a strong belief system for the past few centuries.
