Relationship Guidance ~ Wisdom From Spirit

We are always looking for the perfect relationship. The goal is to find that perfect someone who will make our lives a better place to be. It is unfortunate that we do not realize perfection runs two ways. In order to find that perfect somebody, we must believe that, whatever perfect is, we have already achieved it. No one can give us what we don't already have. Mr. or Ms. Right cannot be to us what we are not. If we are unhappy, unfulfilled, not pleased about who we are ~ we owe it to ourselves to stop looking. We have to ask ourselves: Would I marry me? Am I doing my best, giving my all, being the best I can be to myself? If not, why are we pawning ourselves off on someone else? We need to take time to do some homework on self-love, self-esteem, and self-confidence. When we can pass the test of self-acceptance, the perfect someone who will compliment all that we already are will walk right through the door.

~ The love and harmony within me reaches out and attracts the right someone.

Moon Phases This Week ~ Lunar News

Strange energies are lurking in dark corners of our world today, externally and internally. The quirky Aquarius Moon enables us to gain a new perspective on love, but it doesn't come easily as vulnerable Venus forms difficult aspects with Pluto the Transformer and Uranus the Awakener. Although we're likely to confront intense emotional issues, we must manage our anger, especially when the Moon squares aggressive Mars later this evening.

Full Moon in Capricorn ~ Get organized, make a list and check it off; a sense of accomplishment is the best cure for potential depression. The mood is determined, serious, competent, but uncomfortable without purpose or goal. Manage, don’t manipulate. Reach into history or tradition for answers.

Sun in Leo (July 22 ~ August 22) ~ Celebrate. Under the Fixed Fire Leo Sun, renew for the year ahead by living life to its fullest. Let the arts infuse joy; dance the body’s ripeness along with the ripening crops and relationships. The mood is creative, romantic, dramatic, lazy; remember to tend crops of all types.

Moon Phases ~ Full Moon (waning) ~ 05/22/16

May 23, 2016 ~ Full Moon (waning) ~ During the Full Moon, a veil of self-absorption is lifted and suddenly you gain access to an unbiased view of others. This is a rare moment when you can see yourself objectively and become aware of whether or not what you want in your heart is actually beginning to manifest in your life. Traditionally, the Full Moon phase stirs emotion, and this is because when you "see" what is happening, you may become upset if you are experiencing the "same old same" rather than the things you would like. If the Full Moon phase is a disappointment, be sure to use the next New Moon phase to take creative action in the direction of your dreams.

The conflict between self-determination and respecting people's boundaries reaches a crescendo today. Achieving results seems within reach as Mercury turns direct after three weeks of backtracking. But Mars is still retrograde and conflicts can escalate now that the angry red planet opposes the Sun. Meanwhile, the optimistic Sagittarius Moon reflects the big picture, creating problems that originate from sloppy thinking or incomplete planning.

Mercury Goes Direct . . . Yay!

Adios Retrograde! Planet Mercury is Moving Direct Today!

If you've spent the last three weeks or so feeling mentally scrambled, misunderstood or just plain indecisive, relief is here. That's because Mercury, the planet that rules the mind, turned direct on May 22, 2016, after having gone through another one of its retrograde phases.

So, What Does it Mean When Mercury Goes Direct?

When Mercury is not operating smoothly there can be plenty of mishaps related to anything ruled by Mercury ~ whether its transportation, commerce or communication. Now that Mercury has stationed direct, it will need a few days to regulate its orbit and then you'll be good to go. Any delay, frustration or confusion surrounding Mercury-ruled matters will soon find resolution.

A planet changing motion is a potent phenomenon. Remember, Mercury has been out of its usual forward orbit for three weeks, so turning direct again will not be as easy as declaring "On your mark, get set, go!" and watching Mercury zoom out. Ahhh, if only it were that simple.

What really happens when a planet moves from retrograde to direct motion is more akin to waking up from a deep slumber. Mercury will need time to drink some cosmic coffee and fully regain consciousness.

Full Speed Ahead

It won't be until Mercury reaches the degree where it originally turned retrograde and then passes it that you will know Mercury truly has its full strength back. That tends to take a couple of weeks. But don't stress ~ this time frame is nothing at all like the Mercury Retrograde cycle.

In fact, now you will be ready to apply whatever it is you have learned during the retrograde period into your current reality. It only takes a few days of Mercury being back on track for you to notice the difference. From here on out the planet will get stronger every day!

What is interesting is that while Mercury will need time to regulate its orbit, the very day of its stationing direct can be a potent time. It is like Mercury will be jolted awake for a short time (remember waking up after the alarm late for work?!). During this day or even the next, it is likely you will experience incredible clarity about whatever issues you have been grappling with during Mercury Retrograde.

Be patient, though … it will take just a little more time before you are ready to execute your newfound lucidity with success.

In the meantime, now that Mercury is direct, over the next few days you are free to sign contracts, schedule vital meetings, have a significant conversation and make important decisions or purchases. Remain confident as you push ahead with anything that requires cerebral muscle.

Mercury Retrograde and the Full (Pink!) Moon

When Mercury is retrograde, we tend to notice more issues in the areas of communication, in the way we interact with others and in our surroundings and neighborhood. It may also show up in our travel, the way we get around and in our interaction with our friends and family.

The second Mercury Retrograde of 2016 occurs in Taurus on April 28th at 5:20 p.m. Universal Time, 1:20 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, and at 10:20 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (on Thursday).

This coincides with the Full (Pink!) Moon on Friday, April 22nd at 5:24 a.m. Universal Time, 1:24 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, and 10:24 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (on Thursday). Between Mercury Retrograde and the Full Moon, it may feel as though you are being pulled in all different directions. Unresolved issues from the past are becoming ever-present in your here and now, and worries of the future may cause you to feel like you are carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. While it may seem like everything is falling apart, in reality, things are coming together. Whatever is breaking down right now is creating room for a more expansive experience. Just hang on and remember to pack your patience!

Mercury goes direct in Taurus on May 22nd at 1:20 p.m. Universal Time, 9:20 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, and 6:20 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time.

Mercury enters the Pre-Shadow on April 14th and is last in the Post-Shadow on June 7th. Quite a few people remarked how the second half of the May 2015 Mercury Retrograde in Gemini had quite a punch. Since Mercury also rules the 2016 Mercury Retrograde in Virgo, it should prove rather interesting once again.

The Two Levels of Mercury Retrograde

Mercury Retrograde occurs at two levels. At one level, there is not much you can do with the actions of others, except to be more conscious and prepare for delays and errors by double checking.

But, at the personal level you can do a lot in order to avoid the consequences of Mercury Retrograde. Most of us encounter the consequences when we are not centered, aware or conscious of what is going on around us, and more often than not the culprit is that we are not acting from our heart and spirit.

Instead we are reacting from our needs, our hurts, from our buttons being pushed, or the way that we take care of others and not ourselves. In that way we act from our shadow, and that is what Mercury Retrograde is all about.

Mercury Retrograde occurs when it is moving backwards into its shadow, and thus, communication, scheduling, transportation and judgment becomes cloudy or error prone. As much as outer work is challenged by Mercury Retrograde, introspection and inner work is very supported. Take advantage of Mercury Retrograde by clearing your own tendencies to get caught up in your own shadows and those of others.

Spirit Guides ~ Who Are They and How Do I Connect With Them?!

What the heck are Spirit Guides and do I have my own Spirit Guides? Absolutely yes! You have powerful guides and mentors who are just waiting to help you in ALL aspects of your life! The problem is, they won’t know how to help unless you know how to ask.

When we’re not aware of our guides, it does not mean that they do not exist or have deserted us. It’s just that we have not had the tools to recognize their presence. All of us have beings on the inner planes who are waiting to help us. These guides and mentors in the invisible realms are specific to each individual’s personal beliefs and spiritual lineage. Our guides are here to help us in different areas of our lives, throughout our entire journey here, and throughout all of our lives (for those of you who understand reincarnation).

Spirit Guides are incorporeal beings that are assigned to us before we are born that help nudge and guide us through life. They are responsible for helping us fulfill the spiritual contracts we make with ourselves before we incarnate. Your Higher Self helps select these guides, who help us while we are living out each incarnation.

Who Are These Guides?

Some guides will stay with you throughout your entire life, and others will pop in every now and again to help you with specific areas of your life or goals you are trying to achieve. These guides are at varying levels of consciousness themselves. Some may be Highly Ascended Masters (such as Jesus) and others might be your average spirit who just happens to be a master in a certain area. They may appear to have a male or female energy, though in reality they are just energy. They may be spirits who have had physical incarnations, or they might be spirits who have never taken corporeal form. You may be the only person they are guiding, or they may be on the “panel” for other people as well. They might be deceased relatives, but that is less likely.
