Part of Something Bigger 

Things come to an end in Pisces, especially our attachments. It's a great time to surrender our emotional grip in places where we need to let go. Surrender is a very powerful force that lies at the core of Pisces. This is not about surrendering to the power of another person, or to any external force. It is about surrendering the struggle of having to make it on our own. None of us goes it alone. The 12-step programs are strongly rooted in this principle that we all belong to something greater than our egos.

It is an illusion that we exist as absolute individuals. None of us created ourselves, nor the bodies that we inhabit, nor the society in which we live. The human hardware that supplied me with the fingers to type this is common to all of us. Homo sapiens come with an enormous amount of intelligent equipment. We are self-referential learning machines operating as individuals within the larger, surrounding culture. The concept of community comes with Aquarius, and the feeling of belonging to something larger than ourselves comes with Pisces.

Matter and Meaning

Pisces is not a Fish, it is the Fishes. The two Fish of its symbol swim in opposite directions. One is descending into the physical world and the other is ascending to a higher dimension. This contrast between matter and spirit represents the complexity of the zodiac's final sign. It's like the ultimate question: are we spiritual beings embedded in matter, or are we material beings aspiring to become spiritual?

Fortunately, this isn't a literal question that requires an answer. It's an experiential issue that becomes more important at this time of year. Its gift is learning that we are both spirit and matter and don't have to choose between the two. We can be sexy, sensual, selfish, and hungry for earthly experiences while also being divine and eternal. Pisces, after all, is about inclusion; it represents all of the signs joined together. Yes, it can be confusing to encounter our contradictory traits, but it's only a problem if we insist on choosing between them.

A Sea of Possibilities

The magic of this sign is that we are all shape-shifters and have many more choices than we think. Pisces offers confusion, which can be quite useful at times. Confusion about who we are or about a situation is usually discomforting, yet it can be a significant step toward change. It overcomes resistance and the limitations by which we identify ourselves. It is about becoming lost so that something new can be found.

Cultivate the gift of Pisces by allowing yourself to wander and wonder in the coming weeks. Gifted Guidance Life Purpose ~ Let Go

Walk away from this situation in order to resolve it.

You have been struggling with a situation, unsure which direction to take.  The struggle is causing an energy blockage that is slowing your desired outcome.  This message counsels you to let go as a way of bringing about a peaceful resolution. Planet Mercury is More About Questions Than Answers ....

What can the planets teach you? Astrology is primarily used to learn more about ourselves, to understand our cycles and our relationships. This is, and has been, extremely valuable for thousands of years, but another major benefit of this cosmic science is to help us tap into concepts we can apply in our daily lives.

That's because the symbols of the Sun, Moon and planets, as well as the Zodiac signs, encode the energies of the Universe. Learning their properties, and ways to express them, empowers us to be more effective inhabitants of planet Earth.

You can learn much of this by requesting your Life Path / Soul Scope / Astrology report, which reflects the unique ways in which we experience the planets, revealing inherent challenges and opportunities to apply them in our lives.  And on another level, we can overlook these specific conditions to tap into their forces directly.

Mercury Retrograde Lessons

Let's start with Mercury, the speedy little planet that's closest to the Sun. It went into retrograde on February 6th, and it will remain in reverse until the end of the month. This is usually interpreted as a time when its properties of communication and travel are more complicated. However, Mercury is closest to the Earth during this three-week backward period, suggesting that we have greater access to it during this time.

The gifts of Mercury are objectivity, intellect and adaptability, which is where we can learn a great deal until the end of February. We can start by becoming better observers of ourselves. Judgment of any kind, positive or negative, gets in the way of this clarity. Whether you do something stupid or brilliant, generous or selfish, it's best to see the behavior without immediately describing it as good or bad.

Of course, it's natural to comment on our mistakes, for example, but simply delaying the process creates a neutral space that enables Mercury's intelligence to emerge. Taking one breath before falling into self-blame is an excellent way to break the emotional habits that clutter the mind. Take two, three or more, if you can, and you will open channels of awareness and objectivity that make Mercury's magic your own.

The messenger planet is more interested in questions than answers. While this may seem complicated in some situations, letting go of the idea that there's only one right way to do things or to think about them is a powerful place to be. It opens the mind to a variety of perspectives that allows us to be more tolerant and more creative.

Jupiter's role is to search for the ultimate truth of things, but that's a discussion for a future article. For now, notice when your emotions are narrowing your point-of-view, then take a breath (or two or three or 10) before advancing your idea. If the concept you are proposing is a good one, it will be enriched by a lively discussion, and ultimately demonstrate its value. If it's not, you will understand what changes are needed to make it work.

Being flexible in your body is another way to invite the intelligence of Mercury into your life. Taking alternate routes to work, changing the order of your daily routine, and honoring curiosity as much as efficiency are additional ways to tap into this planet's powers. These simple exercises cost virtually nothing but will open your eyes and mind to options that are hidden from you now. It will also enhance your abilities to listen and speak, making you a more skillful communicator.

Remember that all of the planets belong to us and are available to human consciousness when we open up and meet them in their natural states. When we do this Mercury work, personal limits wither away, leaving us smarter and saner than ever before.

 Reiki Practitioner / Animal Reiki Practitioner® 

Reiki is an incredibly amazing energy healing modality, which is a unique discipline that has been used throughout the world for many years, and is one of the most ancient healing techniques you can use to keep your body in a balanced and healthy state.  The particular form of Reiki utilized by Raven is Usui Reiki, which originated in Japan.  It is truly an incredibly simple, yet incredibly powerful system of energy healing, which Raven gladly offers to people, as well as animals.

Reiki, pronounced “Ray-Key”, is a Japanese word.

Reiki ~ A Japanese form of complementary or alternative medicine, developed (or rediscovered) during the latter half of the 19th century.

Rei is the Japanese word for universal, spiritual, sacred, divine.

Ki is the word for vital energy, life force energy, prana that flows through everything.

Reiki is actually a generic word in Japan that is used to describe many types of healing and spiritual work.   It is not exclusive to Usui’s system of healing, however, it is a profound system of healing where the universal life force energy flows to and through the practitioner.

Since Reiki migrated to the West, it has branched off into many directions, however the bottom line is that Reiki is Reiki.  What truly matters is that Reiki is here and that it is being offered for healing, as well as being shared.

Reiki for People . . .

Reiki healing energy is transmitted via the Reiki Practitioner through light, hands-on contact, or with the hands held above the body, or can also be transmitted across the room, or even long-distance (where the client is not physically present, however would have awareness of Reiki being sent to them).

During a Reiki session, the person receiving Reiki often becomes deeply relaxed, and may experience a release of tension (muscles become relaxed), pleasant tingling sensations, a reduction in pain, or even a shift in their emotional stance (whereby issues rise to the surface and are released, causing exhalations and perhaps even tears, etc.).  Sometimes clients see colors, receive messages, fall into a restful sleep, or there may be occasions where the client feels nothing.  In the rare case where the client experiences nothing during the session, they may notice subtle or not-so-subtle changes over the next 12-72 hours.  The Reiki experience is different for every client, and also varies from session to session.  The most important thing is to just relax, release our attachments and expectations, and just let go and just ‘be’.

Reiki for Animals . . .

Traditionally, Reiki Practitioners have focused on healing for people, however there are many reasons why we now focus on the practice of Reiki for all types of animals.  Animals are indeed sentient, spiritual beings who give so generously of themselves to this planet, as well as to the lives of humans, for those with companion animals (and those of you who appreciate the beauty of animals in nature).  Therefore, animals are the most deserving of Reiki’s incredible healing power, since living with people and civilization exacts a huge toll on animals.

Reiki has many wonderful qualities that make it the ideal complementary therapy for animals.  It is non-invasive, gentle, painless, and stress-free, and it heals on every level of an animal’s being . . . physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.  Reiki goes to those issues most in need of healing, even those unbeknownst to the practitioner.

With Reiki, animals do not need to be confined or restrained in order to be treated effectively, and it is always safe and comfortable for the animal and the energy healer.  It can be adapted to any situation or issue that may be affecting the animal, and can also be given at a distance, therefore it is truly ideal for any circumstance.  It is one of only very few therapies that brings no harm to any living being or thing, yet is powerful enough to heal even the most complex issues.  It is a very powerful tool for healing even the most damaged spirits following trauma, abuse, neglect, fear, or trust issues, as well as physical illness or injury.

The Reiki practitioner works with the animal to determine how the treatment will be given.  Therefore, the animal essentially has much of the control over his own process of healing, as well as how much Reiki he will receive, and how the energy healing will be administered, making him a very willing participant in the healing process.  It is under these guidelines that we first ask the animal’s permission to give him Reiki making the Reiki process extremely rewarding for both practitioner and animal alike.

As you can see, Reiki complements both conventional and alternative therapies and can enhance their actions, as well as lessen their side effects.  Reiki also provides compassionate support and comfort for a dying animal and his people, making the transition much more peaceful for everyone concerned.

Are You an Earth Angel?

Do you feel different from other people, as if you were dropped off on this planet and wonder when someone is coming to take you home?  If so, then you may be an Earth Angel, which is another term for Lightworker, Indigo, Crystal, or one of the other words used to describe a person who incarnated for the express purpose of helping the world be a better place.

Every individual is born with a personal mission to learn and grow.  Each of us chooses a theme for our life in which we will work on a particular life lesson such as patience, forgiveness, or compassion. However, Earth Angels also choose a global mission in addition to a personal mission . . . and this global mission is to provide a service to the world. 

Are you aware of what your mission is?  If you have a passion and talent for healing, teaching, or helping others, yet you yourself have weight issues, relationship challenges, substance-abuse problems, and the like, then you may be an Earth Angel.  If, like me, you are highly sensitive and you abhor violence in any form . . . whether it be enacted upon people, animals, or the planet . . . then you may very well be an Earth Angel.

Earth Angel

Although all souls originate from the same Divine source, our environment and personal history often shape our individual personalities and physical characteristics.  For example, those who spend most of their time in the sand and surf of tropical beaches will have different looks and mannerisms than people who hole up in their inner city dwellings or offices every day.

Similarly, all of the lives we have previously lived have impacted each of us greatly.  Just as our physical family of origin influences us, so does our soul's family of origin shape our looks, behavior, and even our life purpose.

As a general rule, the inside of everyone is the same . . . . a beautiful, pristine spark of Divine light. However, as a Lightworker, your spark of light may have spent time in heavenly realms far from Earth.  Those lifetimes that you have logged in the angelic realm, the elemental kingdom, on other planets, or in spiritual realms between lives with your soul group have greatly influenced who you are today.  Although we all inhabit a human body, our soul feels like a traveler in a foreign country . . . . because, in essence, that is what we are.

Of course, not everyone is an Earth Angel.  For this ultra important mission, God called in the biggest and brightest sparks of light for the transition to the New Age of Peace and Harmony.  Those humans who are not Earth Angels are living their lives purely for their own enjoyment.   They may seem dense, selfish, or highly unspiritual, however they too are Divine sparks of life in their own way.  They have simply elected to focus on human, Earthly concerns.

The Earth Angels' Vital Mission

If you are an Earth Angel, then you are a powerful Lightworker with a legacy of healing and miracles behind and in front of you.  You accepted your Divine assignment to come to Earth and spread your teachings and healing energies.  How has your assignment been for you so far?  If you have had difficulty adjusting to Earthly life, then you will probably find answers, comfort, and guidance by remembering your spiritual origin.

You may discover that you are an Incarnated Angel or Elemental . . . or perhaps a Starperson whose past lives have been extraterrestrial (ET) . . . a Merperson; a Leprechaun; a Knight Paladin; or a Wise One, which is a reincarnated Sorceress, High-Priestess, or Wizard, or you may be a wonderful mixture of more than one realm.  You are a seasoned service worker called into action . . . you are an Earth Angel.  You may have had past lives here on Earth as an Incarnated Angel, Elemental, and such, yet you may have forgotten these incarnations, believing that your past lives were human.  Or, perhaps you have yet to accept that you even HAD past lives, however you cannot explain many of your life situations or "coincidences".  

The term Earth Angel should not be confused with Incarnated Angel, which is one of the realms of Earth Angels.  It is important that you take the time to learn more about your spiritual realm of origin, as it will give you a better understanding about your personality, behavior, and individual quirks.  It is very similar to the way our astrological sun signs group us into meaningful categories.  

Mystic Angel

I happen to be what is called a Mystic Angel, which consists of half Wise One and half Incarnated Angel, and is considered one of the few blended realms or hybrids.  Mystic Angels share much of the same characteristics as Incarnated Angels, in that we are loving, kind, helpful, and caring.  However, since we have had several lifetimes on Earth (as Incarnated Angels), we are street-smart and edgy.  We have a tendency to cuss a bit, indulge in a few cocktails, and perhaps even some gambling . . . . yet we are still Angels!

Mystic Angels appreciate rules because we abhor chaos.  Like Incarnated Angels, we will apologize . . . . yet, we may only say we are sorry to avoid further conflict . . . . not always because we feel guilty.  Incarnated Angels have cornered the market on guilt feelings among all the realms.  

We also have the hard-won wisdom that comes from many lifetimes of helping in the trenches of wars and conflict.  Even though we have seen it all, we still retain faith in the goodness of humanity.

Mystic Angels are not timid in front of audiences, compared to Incarnated Angels.  With our Wise One heritage, we tend to make wonderful teachers, speakers, and workshop presenters.  We love to teach about healing, sharing our wisdom and offering tips for happier, more fulfilling living.

However, we are not afraid to acknowledge the shadow side of life.  We clearly see the ego issues behind human dramas.  The focus and the language of a Mystic Angel is a bit darker and earthier than that of an Incarnated Angel (which is a realm that does not like to look at or acknowledge problems or shadows).

One Mystic Angels describes our realm's characteristics in this way:  "We like to use both Angel Oracle Cards, as well as Tarot cards.  We are healers and know-it-alls (I call that Claircognizant, in my case!).  Because we have been killed in previous lifetimes, we are often afraid to come out of the spiritual closet . . . but when we do, we fly high and fast in putting our purpose into action."

The Healing Angels . . . . 

Angels are celestial beings with no egos, meaning that they are non-judgmental and all-loving. Our deceased loved ones can perform angelic functions; however, we technically call them "Spirit Guides." 

As a lifelong Intuitive, Clairsentient, and Claircognizant, I am enlightened and aware that every person has at least two Guardian Angels and at least one Spirit Guide with them. It is obvious that not everyone listens to their Angels, or heeds their advice.  If they did, we would not have so much cruelty or self-destructive behavior in the world. Nonetheless, the Angels are there whenever we are ready to talk to them and listen to them. 

Angels are non-denominational, and are as much a part of the lives of skeptics and atheists as they are of believers; they are with cruel people as well as Good Samaritans. Angels are with us to enact God's plan of peace, one person at a time. While we are all still personally responsible for our actions, the Angels can help us choose the most effective plan of action. 

And, while we can grow through pain and struggle, we can grow even faster through peace. Anything that helps us be peaceful ~ no matter how large or small ~ is something that the Angels are happy to assist us with. However, we must ask for their help before they are allowed to intervene because of the "Law of Free Will," through which this Universe operates. 

When you work with Angels, you can borrow or lean upon their light, as well as their ego-free higher selves. The Angels can help you heal your mind-set so that you repel fear, and approach situations with love. Your Angels have no time or space restrictions, so you need not worry that you are bothering or overtaxing them. 

The word 'Angel' means "messenger of God." When you pray to the Creator, the Angels are sent as message-carriers from the Creator to the created. It is not at all blasphemous to converse with Angels, as any conversation with God results in the Angels speaking to you. Angels, after all, are one with God . . . . they are extensions of God. And so are you. 

When we team up with the Angels, healings occur at miraculous rates and in amazing ways. The Angels can help us heal physically, spiritually, emotionally, financially, and intellectually. They assist us with our careers, health issues, love lives, families, homes, and anything else that is truly important to our peace of mind. 

So whether you desire healing for yourself, for a loved one, or for a client, you will be tapping in to a mighty channel of healing energy by enlisting the Angels' assistance.

Spirit Guides ~ Who Are They? How Do I Connect With Them??

What the heck are Spirit Guides and do I have my own Spirit Guides? Absolutely yes! You have powerful guides and mentors who are just waiting to help you in ALL aspects of your life! The problem is, they won’t know how to help unless you know how to ask.

When we’re not aware of our guides, it does not mean that they do not exist or have deserted us. It’s just that we have not had the tools to recognize their presence. All of us have beings on the inner planes who are waiting to help us. These guides and mentors in the invisible realms are specific to each individual’s personal beliefs and spiritual lineage. They are responsible for helping us fulfill the spiritual contracts we make with ourselves before we incarnate. Your Higher Self helps select these guides, who help us while we are living out each incarnation.

Who Are These Guides?

Some guides will stay with you throughout your entire life, and others will pop in every now and again to help you with specific areas of your life or goals you are trying to achieve. These guides are at varying levels of consciousness themselves. Some may be Highly Ascended Masters (such as Jesus) and others might be your average spirit who just happens to be a master in a certain area. They may appear to have a male or female energy, though in reality they are just energy. They may be spirits who have had physical incarnations, or they might be spirits who have never taken corporeal form. You may be the only person they are guiding, or they may be on the “panel” for other people as well. They might be deceased relatives, but that is less likely. When it’s time for your Spirit Guides to help you, they tune in to your energy and help direct you to fulfill your Earthly mission.

Ten Lessons I Learned From the Angels 

The more I talk to my Angels, the more I learn. Here are ten lessons they have taught me that have changed my life. 

1. Live In Integrity ~ The Angels said to me, "Spend your time doing activities that match your highest intentions. Let go of things that your intuition prompts you to surrender. Those things may then either become healed so that you enjoy them, or else the activity will easily drop away." 

The Angels urged me to trust my heart. They assured me that I would be safe to turn down work that didn't match my true interests. I quickly found that the Angels were right! 

2. There Is Only Now ~ "You are complete and whole now. Don't cast your eyes on what tomorrow may bring ~ this implies you are imperfect or lacking now, and that you will be whole when something external comes into your life in the future." 

When the Angels said this, I realized that I had been living for the future. My focus was on what tomorrow would bring me, instead of my present blessings. I now make a mental "gratitude list" each night. 

3. All Conflict Is Inside Your Mind ~  "Any conflict you see or experience in the outside world is a projection of your ego. In truth, the world is completely at peace and you project your fear of peace onto the world. You don't want to resolve your inner conflict, but you do want to get it away from yourself. So, you project it onto other people and think that 'they' are the ones who are causing you discomfort. Other people are neutral, blank slates and you color them with your own meaning and definitions. Then, you react to them as if these colorations and definitions were real. Other people, in turn, treat you in the way that you expect, in a self-fulfilling prophecy." 

As the Angels explained this, I realized how often I had allowed fear to create miserable times for me. But always, I had the power to choose the thoughts and feelings I ascribed to all situations. 

4. Purify Your Diet ~ "All food has vibration, and you want to vibrate as high and fine as you feel attuned to. Eat a diet of fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, which have the highest vibrational frequencies. Avoid meats, dairy, alcohol, sugar, chocolate, and caffeine, which have the lowest vibrations. And remember that the essence of all foods you eat affects you long after the food is digested and gone." 

At the time that the angels told me Lesson #4, my diet was already quite healthful. I had given up meats, fowl, and alcohol. Still, there was room for improvement so I followed my guardian angel's dietary advice and adopted a Vegan approach to eating. The improvement in my energy and outlook was drastic and immediate! Instead of feeling deprived, choosing healthful foods felt easy and natural. 

5. Don't Give In Order To Get ~ "Let go of outlining the results that you expect from giving. You will get results from giving; that is the Universal Law. But it is not up to you how the cause and effect will be circulated. Plus, if you expect something in return, you haven't truly given away anything. Instead, you're holding it in consciousness, expecting to get something first before you fully release it." 

Once again, I felt embarrassed as the Angels saw into the depths of my soul. They knew that I was a giving person. Yet, I had to admit that I'd sometimes given with expectations of receiving something in return. With full trust in my Guardian Angels, I decided to let go of all strings attached to my gifts to others. Almost immediately, I began receiving surprising rewards, such as new business opportunities and wonderful experiences with friends. 

6. Spend Time Alone In Nature ~ "Sounds and smells of nature are invisible, so they take your mind to the invisible realm of spirit, where things vibrate higher and faster than matter. There are healing properties in nature. Also, there are very real nature Angels. You can ask these nature Angels to heal you. Being in nature helps you to adapt to the natural rhythm of the earth, and since timing and cycles are a part of everything, you become more in sync with the rhythm of life." 

At the Angels' urging, I ventured away from my desk more and began spending my lunch hour outdoors. The fresh air, sunshine, and fragrance of flowers all help me to meditate on deeper levels. I sit outside and ask the nature Angels to surround me. 

7. Detach From Matter ~ "When you are attached to matter in thought, you stay attached to the products of the ego mind, and thus stay attached to the ego. There is no way of escaping this law. Mind upon matter is the ego mind." 

My Guardian Angels made it clear that there is nothing wrong with material items. Matter is neutral, according to the Angels. They also realize that we humans have material needs, such as food, clothing, and shelter. However, when we overly contemplate material items ~ such as continuously thinking about money or possessions ~ we are focused on our lower-self nature, instead of our higher self. 

8. Judge Not ~ "You judge others as a way of protecting yourself, to keep them away from you so you won't get close to them and get hurt. But we have told you that you don't need to think about your safety. You are safe, and an overwhelming thought pattern of concern about your safety can bring the very thing you fear into your life." 

The Angels explained that we draw to us whatever we think about. If I obsessively think about physical or emotional danger, I create a climate in which my worst fears come true. With practice, I began noticing the moment when I'd judge other people. I began releasing my fears to the Angels, and felt my judgmental habits gradually disappear. 

9. You Live Where Your Consciousness Is Focused ~ "If you think an unloving thought or a thought devoid of love ~ competition, envy, or worry, you feel pain. You ARE your consciousness and you feel the effects of where your consciousness is focused. You do not want pain. Therefore, choose to give your unloving thoughts to the light." 

At first, this lesson was painful for me to face. I'd always thought that my outer circumstances influenced my happiness. Yet, the Angels insisted that this was backwards, and that my thoughts colored my world. They told me that my happiness didn't hinge upon what I had, but instead upon, what I thought. 

10. In All Things, Give Glory to God ~ "Seek not glory for yourself. In essence, though, when you give glory to God, you are giving glory to that part of yourself that is one with God. By giving glory to God, you stay out of your ego state, and stay centered in your higher self consciousness." 

Initially, my lesson humbled me. But before I could slip into feelings of shame, my Angels boosted me with the reminder that ~ since my true self is one with God ~ I was praising the real me every time I gave glory to God. These ten lessons are now ingrained and permanent parts of my daily living. When clients remark about the clarity of the Divine guidance I receive during readings, I simply thank them and let them know that all credit goes to God and the Angels. They taught me how to receive the Divine guidance. I deserve credit merely for following that guidance, because ~ thanks to them ~ I am now a very good listener.

The Nine Choirs of Angels


Angelology, the study of Angels, holds that there are nine "choirs", or branches of Angels, which include:

~ Seraphim ~ These are the highest order of Angels, who are said to be shining bright, as they are closest to God. They are pure light.

~ Cherubim ~ Usually portrayed as chubby children with wings a la Cupid, the Cherubim are the second highest order. They are pure love.

~ Thrones ~ The triad of Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones reside in the highest realms of Heaven. Thrones are the bridge between the material and the spiritual, and represent God's fairness and justice.

~ Dominions ~ The Dominions are the highest in the next triad of Angels. They are the overseers or managers of Angels, according to God's will.

~ Virtues ~ These Angels govern the order of the physical universe, watching over the sun, the moon, the stars, and all of the planets, including Earth.

~ Powers ~ As their name implies, Powers are peaceful warriors who purify the universe from lower energies.

~ Principalities ~ The third triad consists of the Angels closest to Earth. The Principalities watch over the planet, including nations and cities, to ensure God's will of peace on Earth.

~ Archangels ~ This choir comprises the overseers of humankind and of the Guardian Angels. Each Archangel has a specialty representing an aspect of God.

~ Guardian Angels ~ Each individual has personal Guardian Angels assigned to him or her throughout life.

This model of nine choirs dates from the biblical references to Seraphim and Cherubim, and was expanded in the 5th-century writings of Pseudo-Dionysius and then popularized in John Milton's poetic work Paradise Lost.

Archangels 101 ~ Interacting with Archangels 

Since Archangels are so close to Earth and humankind, it’s natural for us to connect with them. In fact, the Bible is filled with accounts of people interacting with Michael and Gabriel. The Archangels still interact with us in conjunction with God’s will of peace.

We don’t pray to Archangels, nor do we worship them. All glory goes to God. We work with Archangels simply because they are God’s intended gift to us all, and part of the Divine plan for peace. So why don’t we simply direct all questions and requests to God? Because the Archangels are extensions of God who are easier to hear and feel during times of great stress. Their vibrations are very condensed, and they’re palpable and practically tangible. Just as looking at a sunset or a rainbow reminds us of God’s love, so do the Archangels. You don’t need to be saintly or a perfectly behaved person to elicit the Archangels’ help. They look past human mistakes and see the inner goodness within us all. They want to bring peace to Earth by helping us all be peaceful. So their mission includes helping the unpeaceful people of the world.

As holograms of God’s omnipresence, the Archangels are unlimited beings. Remember the promise that Jesus made: “I am with you always”? Well, the Archangels ~ like Jesus ~ are able to be with each person who calls upon them. The key is that the Archangels will never violate your free will by intervening without permission, even if to do so would make you happier. They must wait until you give permission in some way: a prayer, a cry for help, a wish, a visualization, an affirmation, or a thought. The Archangels don’t care how you ask for their help, but only that you do.

You also needn’t worry about asking for the Archangels’ help incorrectly. You don’t have to be specially trained or use fancy invocations to garner their attention. Any sincere call for aid is enough, as all they require is your permission. Affirmative and supplicant prayers work. In the former, it’s a positive here-and-now statement or visualization, such as “Thank you, Archangel Michael, for protecting me”; and in the latter, it’s an appeal, like “Please protect, Archangel Michael.” Both yield the same results.

This is also the answer when asking, “Should I call upon God directly? Should I ask God to send the appropriate Angels? Or should I call upon the Angels directly?” These questions imply that there’s a separation between God and the Angels, and there is not.
