Cosmic Burst

Take advantage of this week's brilliant burst of energy!

A New Moon and a couple of planetary moves make this week one of mood changes and new energy vibrations.

Communication gets a lift. Plus, what you love and think about will shift. Look below for the lowdown on the key cosmic events the week of May 25 ~ 31, 2014.

See what's in store for you personally with a Weekly Forecast Archangel Power Tarot reading.

Wednesday, May 28 ~ New Moon in Gemini, Mercury sextile Venus, Sun square Neptune and Venus in Taurus

On Wednesday, a New Moon in Gemini will open you up to the possibility of an exciting new perspective. Flesh out ideas and begin writing projects. If there's a contract on the agenda, you'll have an opportune time to negotiate cleverly.

Also on Wednesday, Mercury will link up with Venus in Taurus, adding to the positive decision-making potential in all money and romantic matters. The rub? On Wednesday, the Sun will square off with Neptune, making you see the very best in everything, and possibly ignoring a mess that will be harder to clean up once you finally notice it.

Still, Wednesday is overwhelmingly more positive than negative. In fact, there's one more piece of news about Wednesday's alignments. Much later, at night, Venus will change signs. Entering Taurus, she'll remain in the sign she rules until June 23. With Venus in sensual, loving Taurus, you'll have a firm grasp on what needs to happen in order to please you, body and soul. Also, this will likely boost your ability to acquire lovely possessions or to fatten up your bank account a bit.

New Moon in Gemini

Thursday, May 29 ~ Mercury in Cancer

On Thursday, Mercury enters Cancer, and thoughts will center on family, memories and preserving your emotional security.

Saturday, May 31 ~ Sun in Gemini trine Mars in Libra

And finally, on Saturday, the Sun in Gemini will trine Mars. Energy boost anyone?

Understanding Your Moon Sign

Your Personal Moon Sign Rules Your Emotions . . . .

Everyone wants to feel good, but how to get there varies significantly depending on your unique needs. While your Sun sign shows how you express your identity and shine your light out in the world, your Moon sign gives insight into your inner world, revealing what you need to feel safe, happy and comfortable.

The Moon moves so quickly ~ changing signs every two and a quarter days ~ that you need to know your time of birth in order to be sure about your Moon sign.

Request a reading for your own Cosmic Profile, which reveals your Moon, Sun and Rising signs, and so much more!  Then read below to discover your path to emotional fulfillment. Learning about a friend or loved one's Moon sign is also a great way to get a deeper understanding of their needs and desires.

Moon in Aries

Aries is the warrior, and you need to express your fiery, creative and pioneering spirit. Ideally, you have a place in your life where you can take the lead and be number one, possibly within your home or family. To feel safe in relationships, you require honesty and directness ~ you prefer to experience conflict and get your emotions out in the open rather than gloss over unpleasantness for the sake of harmony.

Moon in Taurus

Your earthy, sensual and peace-loving temperament requires frequent communion with nature, and you appreciate having plants and animals in your home. You feel best when you have a stable routine, are surrounded by creature comforts and can indulge in the pleasures of the physical world. In relationships, you need loyalty, reliability and sensuality. Naturally grounded, you have the ability to remain calm even in the midst of crisis.

Moon in Gemini

With your Moon in the airy and mentally active sign of the Twins, staying connected with others through various forms of communication brings a feeling of security. You're happiest when your ever-curious mind is being fed with new ideas and perspectives, and when you're sharing the knowledge you've acquired. You need a steady flow of communication in relationships, and subscribe to the theory that variety is the spice of life.

Moon in Cancer

The Moon is strong in its home sign of Cancer, so lunar themes are prominent in your life ~ home, family, food and your inner world. You need plenty of time to devote to these realms. With your strong connection to the past ~ especially family and ancestors -- you feel secure when surrounded by family photos or other mementos. You need nurturing relationships where you can share your deepest feelings and be treated with tenderness and sensitivity.

Moon in Leo

The Lion is the king of the jungle and you need to be treated like royalty ~ to feel special and be the center of attention. Leo also represents the archetype of the child, and playing and having fun are food for your soul. Expressing your creativity leads to satisfaction and is your best bet for avoiding emotional drama. You have a big heart and need to demonstrate your generosity, perhaps through entertaining in your home.

Moon in Virgo

Above all, you need to feel useful ~ to know that you're contributing your skills and talents to a worthy cause. Order, efficiency and simplicity give you a feeling of comfort and ease ~ otherwise, you can be prone to overwhelmed feelings, worry and anxiety. You find security in the little things in life, and feel best when you're in your own environment. You have high standards in relationships, and require reliability and responsibility from your partners.

Moon in Libra

Your inner world is symbolized by the Scales, giving you a strong need for balance, justice and harmony. You feel secure in peaceful and beautiful surroundings, while discord can throw you off-kilter. You enjoy an active social life, but withdrawing into solitude from time to time is essential to discover what you really want. Expressing your needs leads to genuine harmony ~ avoid the temptation to suppress your desires to please others.

Moon in Scorpio

With your Moon in the sign associated with the underworld, you need to dive into the emotional depths. While other Moon signs may feel uncomfortable with emotional intensity, you thrive on it. Scorpio symbolizes the process of transformation and rebirth, and you need to engage with this process in some way ~ creativity, spirituality and psychology are some possible healthy outlets. In relationships, you require passion, depth and loyalty.

Moon in Sagittarius

You have the soul of a gypsy and need travel, freedom and adventure to feel fulfilled. Most of all, you require a lot of personal space -- being tied down by routine or obligations stifles your spirit and dampens your naturally buoyant personality. Being active, including vigorous exercise, healthy competition and time in the wilderness helps you thrive. You're happiest when you balance your physical activity with philosophical and spiritual exploration.

Moon in Capricorn

Your highly pragmatic Moon finds satisfaction through being productive and competent and by achieving your ambitious goals. You need to feel respected by others and are willing to earn this respect through hard work. Being organized and surrounded by the highest quality material objects gives you a sense of security. In relationships, you seek long-lasting quality, and are willing to wait for the best. You may need to let go of control and show vulnerability.

Moon in Aquarius

In an intellectual Air sign, your Moon requires mental stimulation and social activity. Aquarius is the sign of friendship and your many friends are likely to feel like family. You need an outlet for expressing your uniqueness and unconventional thoughts, perhaps through writing or another form of creativity. A sense of freedom and independence makes you feel secure in relationships, while too much clinginess turns you off.

Moon in Pisces

Pisces represents dreams, fantasy, spirit and the imagination. To feel nurtured, you need to take regular time out from ordinary reality to connect with these other-worldly realms, whether through meditation, creative pursuits or daydreaming. Your highly sensitive nature easily picks up on others' emotions, and you need solitude to identify your own feelings. You feel the urge to merge with others in relationships, but need to be careful not to lose yourself.

Pennies From Heaven

The Universe works in mysterious ways, and the Angels are no exception. Sometimes their imagination leads to incidents that you may not instantly recognize as "signs." Well, as complex as our world is, it is not without patterns, and this will help familiarize you with what finding coins means.

Coins, or currency in general, are often used by the Angels to show us messages or give us guidance. All aspects of this type of sign have specific relevance to you and your path, including the time and place you will find the coin, its denomination, the message written on it, and the material it's made of. The meanings of coins and currency can vary widely, as can the situations in your daily life in which you find them.

One of the most fundamental lessons in communicating with your Angels and God is that no problem is too small, and no request is considered petty. Some people fear that if they ask for Heaven's help with something "small", they are taking away from other more important issues in the world. Please know that no task is too trivial, and no request is unimportant to God and the Angels.

So, the next time you find a coin on the ground, know that it was purposely placed in your path. The Angels realize that we love to receive gifts, and the gift of a coin helps us feel supported . . . financially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Coins are a reminder of the Universe's infinite abundance of all that is good.  ♥

Animal Spirit Guides ~ Our Natural Connection

It is amazing how animals permeate our consciousness and are with us all the time, either in their physical form ~ like the hummingbird that flits about and blesses the flowers blooming in the yard or the dolphins that frolic in the ocean just outside the surf ~ or in a multitude of symbolic representations, such as the wolf picture, or hawk totem, or bronze rendition of a raven.

The intimate connection we have to the animal kingdom shows itself in a variety of ways. Even in congested urban settings, the birds sing away in the trees, the pigeons gather around the man feeding them in the park, and the squirrels scamper about doing squirrel business. Taking a walk in the forest may allow us to encounter rabbits darting through the brush, or a deer darting away from behind the trees, or wild turkeys scratching for grubs. Dogs, cats, goldfish, and hamsters are some of the more common domesticated animals that compel us to remember this relationship.

Not only are animals around us in all these ways and more, but also 'we' are animals ourselves ~ the human kind. We have pretty much the same basic needs and wants as nearly all other animal beings. We breathe the same air and live together on the same planet, whether on land, in the air, or in the water. Like every other being, we eventually die, with the substance of our bodies returning to the Earth as our Spirit goes to the spirit world.

We are all connected and must respect that circle of connectivity, life and spirit.  ♥

A Year of Full Moons

Learn the Name and Meaning of the Full Moon Every Month . . . .

In Astrology, the Full Moon signals a time each month when we are able to take a clear look at what is happening in our lives so we can decide if we need to make changes. But culturally and historically speaking, the Full Moon has additional meaning that changes from month to month throughout the year.

The Full Moon stirs our emotions, so it's fitting that the Full Moon for each month has a different name and personality. Many of the Full Moon names date back to ancient tribes who followed the Full Moon to help keep track of the seasons.

Other Full Moon names have been created by different cultures around the world, and most of the Full Moons have more than one name ~ although one is likely more widely used than the others.

Gifted Guidance Weekly Astrology ~ May 11 ~ 17

Planets Coming Out to Play!

All the Planets Are Coming Out to Play!

The sky is so busy this week you might not know which energy is affecting you or when. Thankfully, this handy-dandy overview should help you keep those planets straight.

Find out what is in store for you in your near future with a Soul Scope OR In-Depth Archangel Tarot reading.  In the meantime, here is the lowdown on the key cosmic events the week of May 11 ~ 17, 2014.

Sunday ~ May 11 ~  Venus in Aries opposite Mars Retrograde in Libra and Mercury in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces

On Sunday, cosmic lovers Venus and Mars will oppose one another. Mars is still traveling retrograde in Libra, and Venus is now in fiery Aries. There may be tension in your love life because you want what you want, thanks to Venus, but you cannot seem to get it because of Mars.

On the same day, Mercury will square off with Neptune. This is the most significant red flag aspect for communication matters. Information is nebulous, at best, and deceptive at worst. Your mind is prone to fantasy and idealization, and you might want to believe in something so much that you ignore the whispers of your rational mind. Avoid signing contracts or making major decisions near this day!

Monday ~ May 12 ~ Mercury in Gemini trine Mars Retrograde in Libra

Communication energy lightens up on Monday, when Mercury moves to trine Mars. You will think quickly and be ready to act on your thoughts, but this aspect is too close to the tail of that fuzzy Mercury-Neptune square. Resist the temptation and wait until later in the week.

Full Moon in Scorpio

Wednesday ~ May 14 ~ Full Moon in Scorpio and Venus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn

Wednesday may bring a day of emotional reckoning. An emotionally severe Full Moon in Scorpio will link up closely to karmic Saturn. Letting go of a deep dark secret or personal demon is called for, but Saturn demands you make sure you have learned the lesson you are meant to learn relating to this situation first. Emotions will be intense, that is for sure!

On the same day, Venus will square off with Pluto, the planet of power and control. Perhaps you need to let go of one of your more obsessive love tendencies so it will no longer eat you alive? Or, if there are unsavory financial happenings in your life, it's possible you'll have to pay the piper now.

Thursday ~ May 15 ~ Mercury sextile Venus and Uranus, and Venus conjunct Uranus

Thursday is the best day of the week, by far. Mercury will be well-behaved, as he will link up to Venus and Uranus in a favorable way. Your decisions will be revolutionary, but gracefully executed. Also, love planet Venus will connect to Uranus. Romance should sizzle!

Gifted Guidance Toward Inner Peace . . .

1. Accept things the way they are. Feeling peaceful doesn't mean your life is perfect. Peace is a state of mind. Instead of feeling trapped in your life, accept where you are and appreciate what you have.

2. Want inner peace more than you've ever wanted anything. Believe you can have it. Be open-minded. Don't be skeptical. Imagine having peace until you actually begin to feel it.

3. Look at the big picture. Your life includes a lot of different things. Let go of the little things and be content. Be grateful for what you have and stop wishing for the things you don't have.

4. Release anger and guilt. They are wasted emotions that make you feel negative. Focus on the positive. Notice the people who are there for you and the people who love you. Even when you are grieving, you can find inner peace if you let go of negative thoughts.

5. Believe in yourself. Let go of self-doubt and what-if. Follow your dreams and have hope. You can do it-you know you can.

6. Feel the positive energy around you. Feel the presence of those you've lost. Be open-minded and believe your loved ones are still here. Recognize the love of those currently in your life. People who love you send you positive energy all the time. You just have to notice it.

7. Live in the moment. If you are overwhelmed, don't worry about the next hour or the next minute. Just focus on this moment in time. Look around, concentrate on something and let your senses come alive.

Your Time Is Coming . . . .

God has placed dreams and desires in each of our hearts.  Are you believing for something that seems to be taking a long time?  Are you tempted to quit?  Maybe you have already given up on that dream.

Today is a new day . . . . it is time for you to get your fire back!  It may be taking a long time, but God is faithful!  He promises to complete the work He began in your life.  Do not fall into the temptation to get complacent and think it is never going to happen.  Right now, whether you see it or not, God is working behind the scenes and arranging things in your favor.  When you develop an attitude of expectancy, you open the door to His miracle-working power in your life.

Decide today to declare His Word and speak words of victory.   Start declaring today, "My time is coming . . . God is working behind the scenes on my behalf . . . I will fulfill my destiny . . . I will fulfill the plan God has for my life!"  As you declare and expect God to move, your faith will grow.  Your hope will grow.  Keep expecting and waiting for the appointed time.  As you do, you will step into the victorious destiny God has planned for you!

Archangels 101 ~ Interacting with Archangels

Since Archangels are so close to Earth and humankind, it’s natural for us to connect with them. In fact, the Bible is filled with accounts of people interacting with Michael and Gabriel. The Archangels still interact with us in conjunction with God’s will of peace.

We don’t pray to Archangels, nor do we worship them. All glory goes to God. We work with Archangels simply because they are God’s intended gift to us all, and part of the Divine plan for peace. So why don’t we simply direct all questions and requests to God? Because the Archangels are extensions of God who are easier to hear and feel during times of great stress. Their vibrations are very condensed, and they’re palpable and practically tangible. Just as looking at a sunset or a rainbow reminds us of God’s love, so do the Archangels.
You don’t need to be saintly or a perfectly behaved person to elicit the Archangels’ help. They look past human mistakes and see the inner goodness within us all. They want to bring peace to Earth by helping us all be peaceful. So their mission includes helping the unpeaceful people of the world.

As holograms of God’s omnipresence, the Archangels are unlimited beings. Remember the promise that Jesus made: “I am with you always”? Well, the Archangels ~ like Jesus ~ are able to be with each person who calls upon them. The key is that the Archangels will never violate your free will by intervening without permission, even if to do so would make you happier. They must wait until you give permission in some way: a prayer, a cry for help, a wish, a visualization, an affirmation, or a thought. The Archangels don’t care how you ask for their help, but only that you do.

You also needn’t worry about asking for the Archangels’ help incorrectly. You don’t have to be specially trained or use fancy invocations to garner their attention. Any sincere call for aid is enough, as all they require is your permission. Affirmative and supplicant prayers work. In the former, it’s a positive here-and-now statement or visualization, such as “Thank you, Archangel Michael, for protecting me”; and in the latter, it’s an appeal, like “Please protect me, Archangel Michael.” Both yield the same results.

This is also the answer when asking, “Should I call upon God directly? Should I ask God to send the appropriate Angels? Or should I call upon the Angels directly?” These questions imply that there’s a separation between God and the Angels, and there is not.  ♥
