Moon Phases ~ New Moon (waxing) ~ 08/15/15

The magical New Moon in Leo on August 14, 2015, connects with romantic Venus, charging the atmosphere with the potential of love. Since every New Moon initiates a monthly emotional cycle, we are empowered to plant seeds of intention so that our gardens manifest the beauty in our hearts. We are driven to bring our feelings out into the light for everyone to see. Although we can effectively plant the seeds of intention, satisfaction will likely be delayed since Venus is retrograde. The New Moon's proximity to pompous Jupiter encourages us to act with bravado, but it's wiser to practice humility, instead.

Nevertheless, it's up to each of us to nurture the potential until it blossoms. In the meantime, we must take pride in our actions as four planets in Leo encourage us to express our feelings through generosity of spirit.

Although pompous Jupiter recently left Leo for the more analytical realms of perfectionist Virgo, it is still close to the New Moon. Accordingly, we are all called to balance the roar of Leo's bravado with Virgo's humility. Success on the relationship front is more likely if we can control our need to be the star of the show. The Nine Choirs of Angels

Angelology, the study of Angels, holds that there are nine "choirs", or branches of Angels, which include:

~ Seraphim ~ These are the highest order of Angels, who are said to be shining bright, as they are closest to God. They are pure light.

~ Cherubim ~ Usually portrayed as chubby children with wings a la Cupid, the Cherubim are the second highest order. They are pure love.

~ Thrones ~ The triad of Seraphim, Cherubim, and Thrones reside in the highest realms of Heaven. Thrones are the bridge between the material and the spiritual, and represent God's fairness and justice.

~ Dominions ~ The Dominions are the highest in the next triad of Angels. They are the overseers or managers of Angels, according to God's will.

~ Virtues ~ These Angels govern the order of the physical universe, watching over the sun, the moon, the stars, and all of the planets, including Earth.

~ Powers ~ As their name implies, Powers are peaceful warriors who purify the universe from lower energies.

~ Principalities ~ The third triad consists of the Angels closest to Earth. The Principalities watch over the planet, including nations and cities, to ensure God's will of peace on Earth.

~ Archangels ~ This choir comprises the overseers of humankind and of the Guardian Angels. Each Archangel has a specialty representing an aspect of God.

~ Guardian Angels ~ Each individual has personal Guardian Angels assigned to him or her throughout life.

This model of nine choirs dates from the biblical references to Seraphim and Cherubim, and was expanded in the 5th-century writings of Pseudo-Dionysius and then popularized in John Milton's poetic work Paradise Lost.

Daily Meditations ~ 07/27/15

No one can judge you unless you let them . . . . ♥

Don't "should" on other people and don't let them "should" on you. Should is a judgment we make based on our experiences and perceptions. When we pass that on to other people, we are judging them. Should is an expression of fear. It says that our way is the right way . . . . if you move beyond that, you might prove I am wrong. Should is the way we control others to make them think or behave the way we want them to. If we only do the things we should do we will never learn another way we could do it. Should limits us to what is comfortable. Should keeps us in a place that is familiar. Should makes us responsible to someone other than ourselves when we know that is not the way we "should" live.

I "should" do only those things that feel right for me.
